  • 500g minced beef
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt, to taste
  • 500g puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Extra flour, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine minced beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, dried thyme, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  3. Roll out puff pastry into a rectangle about 5mm thick and cut into long rectangles (10 cm wide).
  4. Place the filling along one edge of each rectangle and roll them up tightly; seal edges firmly.
  5. Arrange seam-side down on the baking tray; brush with beaten egg and cut slits on top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
