Ingredients
- 500g minced beef
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Salt, to taste
- 500g puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Extra flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine minced beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, dried thyme, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Roll out puff pastry into a rectangle about 5mm thick and cut into long rectangles (10 cm wide).
- Place the filling along one edge of each rectangle and roll them up tightly; seal edges firmly.
- Arrange seam-side down on the baking tray; brush with beaten egg and cut slits on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
