Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into cubes
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the cubed sirloin steak with salt and black pepper; let it rest at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Save one cup of pasta water before draining.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat; sear the steak cubes for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer; gradually whisk in parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Toss cooked fettuccine in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency. Top with seared steak bites, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.
